The world steel association: Global crude steel output will increase by 2.9% year on year in September 2020

In September 2020, the crude steel output of the 64 countries included in the statistics of the World Iron and Steel Association was 156.4 million tons, increasing by 2.9% year on year.As the impact of coVID-19 continues, many of the production data released this month are estimated and may be revised in next month's production report.
Global crude steel production in the first nine months was 1.3474 billion tonnes, down 3.2 per cent year on year.Among them, the output of crude steel in the subspecies area was 100.1 million tons, up by 0.2 million tons year on year.The output of crude steel in the EU region was 99.4 million tons, down 17.9%;The output of crude steel in the CIS region was 74.3 million tons, down 2.5% year on year.Crude steel production in North America was 77.4 million tons, down 18.2 percent year on year.
In September 2020, China's crude steel output was 92.6 million tons, up 10.9% year on year.India's crude steel production was 850 tonnes, down 2.9 per cent year on year;Japan's crude steel production was 6.5m tonnes, down 19.3% year on year;South Korea's crude steel production was 5.8 million tons, 2.1 percent higher than the same period last year.
In September 2020, Germany's crude steel output was 3 million tons, down 9.7% year on year.Italy's crude steel output was 1.8 million tons, down 18.7% year on year.France's crude steel output was 1 million tons, down 20.1% year-on-year; Spain's crude steel output fell 20.7 per cent year on year to 900,000 tonnes.
In September 2020, the crude steel output in the CIS region is estimated to be 8.2 million tons, a decrease of 0.3% year on year.Ukraine's crude steel production was 1.7 million tons, down 5.4 percent year on year.
In September 2020, us crude steel production was 5.7 million tons, down 18.5% from the same period last year.
In September 2020, Turkey's crude steel output was 3.2 million tons, up 18.0% year on year.
